Why Do Many Traders Choose to Use a VPS for Trading?
Even if you are relatively new to trading, there is a fair chance that someone has brought a Virtual Private Server (VPS) to your attention and that it is highly beneficial for trading. Even though a VPS is usually associated with website hosting, it does have several advantages when it comes to trading – stocks, futures and forex trading, in particular.
What is VPS?
If you have your own VPS, you can then install your preferred operating system, reboot the system, and essentially enjoy complete control as if your server was the only one on the machine. For every month, you get a specific amount of RAM, space, and transfer allowance. Moreover, owing to its independent power supply, a VPS promises convenience, stability, and flexibility.
So, how does all of this relate to trading? Next, we discuss why so many traders swear by VPSs for making their trades.
Reasons to Use a VPS for Trading:
1) It allows you to trade from anywhere:
If you possess a desktop PC, you are pretty much restricted to a single place. Although there are several alternatives available today, perhaps you do not wish to purchase a laptop or a mobile device, or maybe you're not a fan of mobile trading.
It is also possible that you do not find the interface to be good enough, or maybe you do not have access to an online trading platform and can only access it through a download. Whatever the reason, a VPS allows you to log in from anywhere, with the only other requirement being a stable internet connection.
2) You can continue trading even if there is a power outage:
Depending on automation means that your trading will not be disrupted even if your power goes out. If you have an automated system that does not require constant monitoring, you can allow it to make trades even when you are unable to get online.
3) You will be able to trade throughout the day:
The freedom that comes with a VPS means that you can now trade at times when your desktop, laptop computer and/or mobile device is off. You can even allow your VPS to run overnight.
4) Strong security:
The top companies offering a VPS, also offer top security. A managed VPS server is regularly assessed to ensure that it is operating effectively, and a lot of companies even promise an uptime of 99.9%. Moreover, the server will be accompanied by an antivirus program and a range of other tools that will help keep your system safe and invulnerable to threats.
In Conclusion
To conclude, if you are seeking the independence required to make the most of your trades, a VPS is certainly something that you could consider investing in. If you want to learn more about how a VPS works for trading, and can help you with your trades, please feel free to contact us.

I'm a day trader and use level 2 everyday, and I have a simple question, no one will answer it, on level 2 streaming buy and sells, there's a 3rd column with a ? for a header. I need to know what that means, as far as price action
Apologies, we do not use Level II in our daily analysis as it is easily manipulated in our opinion and not necessary for larger time frames which is what we prefer.
